Skullcandy Hesh 3 Wireless Campaign
Skullcandy has always been a brand close to my ears. As a musician, their products—particularly their more budget-conscious headphones—were ideal for an audiophile musician with a penchant for misplacing things. I would buy two or three sets of their in-ear headphones at a time because they are uncharacteristically durable, provide ideal sonic clarity, but would inevitably get left in a hotel in Boise.
I was excited to work on a campaign for their higher-end wireless series that only seems to further enhance all of the qualities I enjoy about the brand. It was important for me to highlight the actual design aspects of the product, as headphones can often be the ugliest part of any ensemble, and the sleek finish and aesthetic of the Hesh 3 are really worth showing off.
Featuring the phones in multiple and disparate locations (whose color palette was inspired by the various settings featured on the VHS box set of the original Star Wars trilogy that lived next to my TV growing up) help establish that the Hesh 3 should be enjoyed absolutely everywhere. I notice headphones in public. I think other people do, too. Your headphones send a message. I want the Hesh 3 to broadcast loud and clearly: Your location should not dictate your audio experience. Anywhere should be your dancefloor.
